Kita Mean would do an All Stars, All WInners, ‘in a heartbeat’ (Stan/ World of Wonder)
Drag Race Down Under‘s inaugural winner, Kita Mean, has confirmed that she would ‘definitely’ take part in a series of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars comprised of all winners – and bestie Anita Wig’lit would ‘love’ to return again.
Having first burst onto our screens in 2021, best friends and drag titans Kita Mean and Anita Wig’lit made an indelible mark on the psyche of the world – for better or worst.
Anita was eliminated in 8th place despite winning Snatch Game, and she later returned to compete in Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World‘s first season in 2022, where she placed 7th.
Kita, on the other hand, won Drag Race Down Under‘s first outing, become the first ever Down Under superstar – but as any Drag Race fan will know since 2022’s All Stars 7, winning the show no longer means you’re safe from being drafted for an ‘All WInners’ All Stars season.
And speaking to PinkNews to promote their bonkers new game show Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, both Kita and Anita have given the thumbs (claws?) up to another Werk Room return.
“We’re actually working on a new Drag Race season for Anita called “Third Time Clucky”, which is for three time losers, and would be a multi faceted mashup of Winner Winner Chicken Dinner and Drag Race,” Kita jokes.
“I would definitely do [a season of All Stars],” she says (relatively) more seriously. “In a heartbeat, I would do a winners season, for sure. I would do anything. If they asked me to come and clean the floors on set, I’d do it.
“We love being drag queens, and even though it’s very different doing it on television, any chance to do drag… I jump at. So, yeah, f**k yeah. Give me a call.”
Anita adds, “I would love to do another season. The older I get – I mean, I’m only 23 now – the more easygoing I’ve become. And if I was to ever do another season now, even winning doesn’t seem [the be all and end all].
“I would just go and have a good time.”
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is an outrageous new game show hosted by the pair, with each episode seeing Kita and Anita invite three unsuspecting members of the public into their living room to go up against each other in a series of challenges.
Kita and Anita are judge, jury and executioner commentator for these games – pushing the contestants to go wild, while changing the rules on a whim, doubling points for extreme behaviour and generally causing as much chaos as possible.
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is available to stream now on OUTtv and Prime Video.
