The 22-year-old has been turning heads in the villa
Love Island’s Shakira is utterly unrecognisable from her prom day throwback photos.
The 22-year-old has been stirring things up since landing in the villa, facing the chop on her very first day. Right after making her entrance, bombshell Toni swooped in and pinched Ben from right under her nose.
Consequently, the lass from Burnley was warned by presenter Maya Jama that she had to find a new match within 24 hours, or pack her bags. After some quickfire chats, Shakira chose Harry – sealing Sophie’s fate as the first Islander to depart this series.
Yet, Shakira has continued to be a head-turner for both the lads and incoming bombshells, reports OK!
Before hitting up Love Island, Shakira already built a big fanbase on Instagram, showcasing her jet-setting lifestyle with snaps from exotic locales like Dubai along with glitzy bashes with her 22,000 followers.
Fans particularly swooned over one of her posts – a look back at her prom day, which she fondly captioned: “The best day.”
The snapshot features Shakira dazzling in a sparkly red gown in front of a Range Rover, with additional pics flaunting her hairdo. It’s no shocker the post is swamped with praise for her ensemble.
One admirer exclaimed: “Wow! You are serious. Shakira u look amazing” peppering their message with bomb emojis. Another gushed: “Omg I’m in love my besties little girl grew up to be a very very beautiful lil lady.”
And yet another fan couldn’t contain their awe, stating: “Can’t describe how stunning you look. Breathtaking.”
In the latest drama-filled episode, Shakira became the apple of several lads’ eyes. Ben, the taxi driver she was once coupled with, tried reigniting their flame but to no avail.
Harry, now paired with the marketing guru, seemed besotted, but his flirtations with Helena during a challenge risked it all.
The plot thickened as Shakira was whisked away to the hideaway by Blu. He claimed he just wanted a chat, but seized the moment for a cheeky snog, away from prying eyes.
Shakira might have to pump the brakes though, as she confessed pre-show that her dad – a self-confessed Love Island fanatic – would be tuning in. She previously shared: “I told my family [about the show] and they’re over the moon.
“So buzzing, my dad’s like a Love Island super-fan. He’s watched every season. He’s buzzing for it. He just said, ‘Don’t have sex on TV!’ Definitely not! Definitely not.”
